Urban Oasis | Cassidy Field

The Cassidy Field property is owned and managed by the Boston Parks & Recreation Department (BPRD) and is located at the intersection of several neighborhood and community amenities: Brighton, Brookline, the MBTA Green Line (Cleveland Circle), the DCR’s Reilly Memorial Swimming Pool, the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, and nearby Boston College.

Terraink worked with the BPRD on the revitalization of this 9.5 acre project, which serves as a passive and active recreational park for users of all ages and abilities. The park includes one field house, one baseball field, two softball fields, one tennis court, one multi-purpose sports field, spectator seating, sports field lighting, one bocce court, a picnic area, a continuous, perimeter ADA accessible walking path, native vegetation, and green infrastructure to manage the onsite stormwater runoff. This is truly an inspiring project that promises to provide a natural respite for local residents and regional visitors for years to come!
