The Reserve

The Reserve

The Reserve is a large scale, multi-family housing project that incorporates three rooftop decks and a woodland garden. As the project landscape architect, we worked closely with the Client and the design team to create several outdoor living spaces that foster a true sense of community for a range of users; from families to single occupants; from market rate to affordable housing residents.

The Reserve community has the opportunity to experience diverse program elements; including a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a Zen garden, grilling and picnic stations, a human-scale chessboard, and outdoor lounging spaces throughout its rooftop gardens and woodland terrace. In addition, at-grade open spaces were incorporated for walking, running, and exploration of this property that boasts of range of habitat and perimeter wildlife diversity, all amidst a semi-urban office park.

Guobin Pan

Guobin joined the Terraink team in September 2022. Guobin’s childhood experience of living in the countryside provided him with a firsthand education in nature, which has ultimately shaped his wonderfully warm and peaceful persona.  Through his interest in nature, he received his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture in China.  His daily activities involved spending much time practicing planting techniques, by which he designed and planted dozens of ornamental plants in his own yard.  He then received his master’s degree from Wuhan University.  Now, with his love of the landscape architecture profession, he is pursuing his second master’s degree at the Boston Architectural College.  In 2021, he was recognized with the CELA University-Level Fountain Scholars.  We are thrilled to welcome Guobin to our team!

PS…

We don’t work all the time! We really mean it when we tell our employees (and remind each other) that work is not everything and sometimes, what we do outside of the office brilliantly informs our work Monday–Friday.

Kellie

A passionate winter mountaineer and a four-season leader for the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC), Kellie has climbed Mount Rainier twice and reached a summit record of 18,700 feet in the Cordillera Blanca; Peru.

Jiayue

Jiayue enjoys cycling in the woods, which provides ample opportunity to absorb the essence of nature, thereby igniting her creativity.

Kelly

In her spare time, Kelly loves spending time outdoors and is an avid distance runner. She ran her first (virtual!) Boston Marathon in 2020!

GUOBIN

In his spare time, Guobin loves to experiment with various planting techniques and watching them come to life in his garden.
