With its sandy soils, ocean air, ericaceous and evergreen plant communities, The Mirbeau Inn & Spa encompasses all the attributes of a classic, seaside, New England landscape.

Design and plantings throughout the property resulted in the creation of a true “getaway” destination for local and regional visitors while creating an sustainable habitat. From lush plantings to the creation of calming waterways  guests travel through the existing, colonial New England aesthetic into the realm of the French wine country garden, inspired by Claude Monet’s Garden in Giverny.

The attention and integration of the Mirbeau aesthetic, New England regionalism, and the environmental factors that impact the plant material selection and long-term vitality has resulted in quite a spectacular travel, rest, and event destination for generations of guests to enjoy and call their own.
