Boston Children’s Hospital | Weymouth

We worked with the lead architect, Isgenuity, on the redevelopment of a semi-industrial site on the southern tip of Whitman’s Pond in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

The design team worked closely with the local Conservation Commission to create an environmentally sensitive place that would reclaim the marginalized property, encourage biodiversity, respect and celebrate the surrounding natural resources, and create a safe and welcoming outdoor environment for the administration and visitors.

The landscape within which the new facility rests is characterized by a palette of native vegetation that offers seasonal interest, while contributing to the existing ecosystem. Visitors can enjoy the distant water views and fresh air as they meander along the stabilized stonedust walkways that wind through swaths of naturalized plantings.
