Parkland in the Fens
Working with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Charter Development, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers, we served as the Clerk of the Works on the Muddy River “Flood Damage Reduction and Environmental Restoration” project. Given the historic significance of this project to the City of Boston, we were honored to have a role in the revitalization of this important parkland region. It has been such fun to stand onsite on hot days, rainy days and frigid days to watch the revitalization of one of Fredrick Law Olmsted’s original works. While the overall project is in process, the restored parkway promises to enrich this culturally noteworthy, Fenway urban corridor providing city blocks worth of open green space, passive activity zones, and habitat diversity!
